Email Subscription

By subscribing to MacTraders on our Contact Us page, you are giving MacTraders/SecureVP, hereinafter referred to as Provider, permission to contact you direct via email with newsletters, promotional items, etc. You may unsubscribe at any time via the emails sent or by emailing sequim@MacTraders.net with the subject of ‘optout’. Your contact details will not be disclosed to any third party.

Diagnostic Fee

All tickets and repair/service orders are subject to a minimum $80 diagnostic fee once it reaches a technician’s bench regardless of the state of repair or outcome of the diagnosis. The diagnostic fee will be applied to any additional labor fees.

Data Responsibility

Data loss can occur during repairs or data transfer. Provider recommends Customers back up data prior to checking a computer or device in for any service, repair, or support. Provider claims no responsibility for any lost data. Provider and its employees make no guarantees as to the integrity or recoverability of any data. The Customer also understands when transferring data and emails across platforms some data may not transfer. The Customer agrees Provider is not responsible for any data left on their computer/devices after selling it. In the case of data transfer or recovery, the Customer gives Provider permission to temporarily store their data on the Provider secure server.

Peripherals/Pick Up



Customer agrees that Provider is not responsible for any discs left in the disc drive and/or USB devices plugged into the machine. Customer agrees to provide an accurate and valid phone number and email address and to receive communication from Provider regarding this repair or transfer. Upon completion of the service, diagnostic, or repair, Customer agrees to pick up the equipment and pay Provider any balance owed within 30 days from date on this form. Any equipment not retrieved within 30 days of service completion will become property of Provider. Provider will make every reasonable attempt to contact the Customer upon completion, however it is the Customer’s responsibility to contact Provider regarding the status of the repair.

Services/Contact

Customer authorizes the technician(s) providing the service or repair to install anti-virus and any other necessary software on your computer to perform required services. All software will be deleted / uninstalled upon completion of the service (unless purchased or otherwise noted). All remote repair and off-site services are also subject to the terms in this agreement. Customer agrees to provide accurate contact information to receive communication from Provider regarding current repair or services. Upon completion of services, Customer agrees to pick up the equipment and pay Provider any balance owed within 30 days from service date. Any equipment not retrieved within 30 days of service completion will become property of Provider. Provider will make every reasonable attempt to contact Customer upon completion. However, it is the Customer responsibility to contact Provider regarding the status of the repair.

Scope of In-Store Services

When Provider performs services in store, there are common steps that need to be taken as the Customer gets their device home and want to reconnect to their network, printers, etc. and restore previous operations.  Unless otherwise agreed upon, these actions are the responsibility of the Customer and are not included in the scope of the in-store work performed.  It is possible to schedule an in-store training session or onsite service for a fee if the Customer has any issues reconnecting their system to accounts and/or their Internet Service Provider.

Return Policy

Products must be returned within 7 calendar days for a full refund minus a 10% restocking fee. Products must be in the same condition in which they were received.  After 7 days, MacTraders may offer to purchase products at trade-in value.

Warranty

Products and Repairs on computers and phones include a 90-Day Parts and Labor Warranty, unless otherwise indicated. If service parts and/or diagnosis are provided by the Client, MacTraders offers no warranty on parts or labor. MacTraders/SecureVP will not be liable for any damage or loss caused by fire, theft, accident, or any other cause unless such damage or loss is due to gross negligence or willful conduct by MacTraders/SecureVP. For any repair to be completed with known or apparent liquid damage, MacTraders/SecureVP offers no warranty.

Estimates

Estimates are an approximation of charges to the Client.  They are based on the anticipated details of the work to be done or service to be provided. It is possible for unexpected complications to cause some deviation from the original estimate. If additional parts or labor are required, the Client will be notified immediately and will be provided with an updated estimate.
